Description Dirk Wiesenthal univentionstaff 2014-01-22 13:43:04 CET
As MULTI-VALUE:

E.g.
cn=mycomputers,$ldap_base:
  univentionDefaultForModule=computers/windows
  univentionDefaultForModule=computers/ucc

Advantage:
  * Information saved on this very object, not some strange "proxy", see Bug #33967
  * UDM does not rely on a hard coded dn="cn=default containers,cn=univention", see Bug #33161
  * UMC layout does not look broken with all these checkboxes, see Bug #30362
  * Can be used with any module, not just those listed somewhere in the code (for attr in ['dns', 'license', ...])
  * Could be used for "submodules", currently policies/autostart can be placed in any policy subcontainer

Disadvantage:
  * Backwards compatibility is difficult (if someone is really using udm-cli to change "cn=default containers,cn=univention" frequently - which I doubt)
  * Hard to get some kind of ordering ("default with priority"). This is not done at the moment, though

Agreed, the current behaviour allows only a fixed amount of modules (see screenshot).

There is a Customer ID set so I set the flag "Enterprise Customer affected".
