Description Daniel Orrego univentionstaff 2014-03-11 17:33:01 CET
Currently URL lists are created but never used.

Each time a domain list is added in UMC (via 'Define Internet rules'), a corresponding URL list is created automatically (as destination group in squidGuard.conf), but only the domain list is editable from UMC, so there is no way to filter URLs, only domains.

Just as a sidenote: managing URL list has been removed because it is too complex for most users. It's not only the HTML page that has to be white/black listed but also all image/stylesheet/javascript/... files that are linked within the page.

For performance reasons the URL lists should be removed from squidGuard.conf

In general, I wouldn't "remove" a feature when it's possible to handle some kind of "Advance settings" for power users (or simply let them do it on the CLI/UDM/UCR).

I believe users would gain more in functionality than they could lose in performance.
