On a Thinkpad X201 no Plymouth is displayed (and it falls back to text mode). It works on other test hardware. We need to check whether there's a common root cause or an isolated problem.

Without Plymouth support the software update job is confusing for the user; univention-ucc-software-update is running in the background w/o user feedback and lightdm isn't started until this is done.

This is fixed with bug #31126

lspci on our X200 laptop ('test6'); Plymouth works fine

With yesterday's image bootplash is fixed on the X201, so I we can close the bug.

Plymouth works on all systems currently.
