with the current thin client image the locale is correctly adopted according to the setting on the UCC server:

root@uccthin:~# ucr search locale
locale/default: de_DE.UTF-8:UTF-8

But the keyboard layout it not set along:
root@uccthin:~# ucr search Xkb
xorg/keyboard/options/XkbLayout: us

That was an error in my setup.
