In univention.admin.uldap modul the function getBaseDN use 'localhost' as default value (line 54).
This fails when the ldap doesn't run on localhost. Especially in our case where we tried to run the udm on a memberserver. For the port the function use the ucr variable 'ldap/server/port', so I would recommend to use the ucr variable 'ldap/server/name' accordingly as default to determine the host.

This issue has been filed against the UCS version "unstable" which does not really exist. Please change the version value.

I close this Bugzilla entry as they are filed without a valid UCS version and haven't been changed for more than a year.

In case the bug or feature request is still valid please re-open with the valid UCS version and an updated description.
