Description Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2015-11-16 23:34:43 CET
Via Bug #39845 a short description of the two services (pwd reset/pwd change) has been added to the user management section. But currently there is no documentation on how to configure the services (SMS service, external services like jabber/XMPP, redirection back to calling website, ...).

Bug #37890 comments 28 and 37 contain some examples for e.g. SMS and XMPP.

Please also mention, which services have to be restarted so the UCR change come into effect.

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #37890 +++

It would be very useful to have a comprehensive description of this service. I only discovered that I have to add an e-mail / mobile number after I ran into an error message when I tried to reset my password but none of the reset methods was available.

Missed during UCS Technical training 2016-08 Task #4773

Please also document that the password policy behavior differs with s3 and s4. See comments 1-5 of Bug #44090.

>> The change password module does not honor the default password policy:
> If you use Samba 4, you have to set the Samba password settings.
>> Where can this be done? Are there also UCR variables etc. for this in UCS?
>'samba-tool domain passwordsettings' or 'udm settings/sambaconfig'

From Bug #39979: please add a note about restarting the UMC server after changing umc/self-service/passwordreset/external/enabled.
