Univention Bugzilla – Bug 40172
Article about accessing UCS webinterface via reverse-proxy
Last modified: 2020-07-02 17:20:11 CEST
UCS can be accessed via reverse proxy just fine, if a complete fqdn is used for proxying requests to UCS, e.g. http://ucs.my.domain/ -> http://master.ucs.local However, several RewriteRules and ProxyPass* directives prevent an easy configuration of a reverse proxy via a subfolder, e.g. http://ucs.my.domain/UCS -> http://master.ucs.local An sdb article could describe a configuration to set up a reverse proxy in this way.
This is often not so easy as the HTML must use relative path's then. Often absolute path's like /univention-management-console/ are used (which is the case for UMC). So it's not possible to use UMC behind a reverse proxy if one changes the path.
In my tests with UCS 4.2 this scenario was blocked by Bugs #44524 and #44525
re-tested this with UCS 4.2 Errata 139, Bug #44524 and Bug #44525 are solved / invalid.
Changes and improvements for SDB entries aren't tracked in Bugzilla anymore, so I close these entries. Please comment on help.univention.com or get in touch with the Univention Support team in case you have any suggestions for the SDB.
