Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2016-03-30 17:29:56 CEST
The UCS manual is a bit terse in its description of the configuration of Windows roaming profiles. IMHO it should be pointed out that

1. roaming profiles are not active by default

2. they can (only) be enabled on a per user basis

3. the attribute profile path needs to be set for this to a value that is resolvable by windows clients

4. the canonic setting is %LOGONSERVER%\%USERNAME%\windows-profiles\default

5. The UCR variables samba/profileserver and samba/profilepath are not considered in Samba/AD (aka "Samba 4") domains

Actually the field is called "Windows profile directory" in UMC.

This bug hasn't seen any update for several years. I close it.

If you still see a need for it, you can reopen the bug. Please add an argumentation about why it's important to take care of it.
