Description Valentin Heidelberger univentionstaff 2017-04-05 12:48:05 CEST
I just installed a new UCS 4.2 from the official AWS AMI and it offered me one package update after the installation:

1 Paket wird NEU installiert
sysvinit 2.88dsf-59A~4.2.0.201703021459

Since systemd is used in UCS 4.2 I didnt install it, but users who do not that might install it.

Happens again at a customer (no AWS)
Comment 2 Valentin Heidelberger univentionstaff 2020-05-09 13:53:43 CEST
The customer updates via apt-get now.
Comment 3 Ingo Steuwer univentionstaff 2020-05-12 11:52:54 CEST
This is default behaviour, I assume due to compatibility reasons. There are still some non systemd usecases.

> The customer updates via apt-get now.

Please don't do that, the only officialy supported way to install updates are univention* scripts or UMC.
