The UCS Samba/AD join of an additional UCS Backup or Slave fails if the Master has been removed from the site "Default-First-Site-Name".

The univention-samba4 Joinscript could/should lookup the site of the DC it tries to join to. This would spare customers to run into this problem, call the support and be told that they manually have to set samba4/join/site first, before joining.

This issue has been filed against UCS 4.2.

UCS 4.2 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen it and update the UCS version. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
