Description Matthew Grant 2018-03-07 03:17:26 CET
Windows Linux clients can not change account passwords on an IPv6 only network.

There is a bug in the compile directives for the heimdal kadmin/kpasswd code documented upstream at Samba, bug no 13079

https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13079

that is the direct cause of this issue.

Your product is really great, but this is a show stopper for me on my network, and probably for other customers too. Going to FreeIPA because of it....

Please fix, its just a patch and recompile away...

Thank you!

FYI: Should be fixed in UCS 4.3 (Samba 4.7.5), see https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_4.7_Features_added/changed#Changes_since_4.7.0:
