Description Valentin Heidelberger univentionstaff 2018-10-12 10:37:55 CEST
This is probably not the right component, feel free to move!

I think we should ship UCS with strace installed by default.

A customer currently has a problem with a master system where strace could be really useful. Unfortunately dpkg is locked because a package is broken and we can't install strace the regular way.

Please setup the "Package policies" to install "strace" on all Master-/Backup-/Slave-/Member-Servers.

You can still download the package using "apt-get download strace" and either install that locally using "dpkg -i strace_*.deb" or extracting it to a temporary location using "dpkg -x strce_*.deb $HOME/strace.tmp/" and lunching it from there.
