Description Valentin Heidelberger univentionstaff 2018-11-23 12:11:38 CET
The descriptions for samba/profilepath and samba/profileserver suggests that setting them to "local" deactivates roaming profiles. This is not the case anymore since Samba 4 (apparently). Instead the "Windows profile directory" has to be emptied for each individual user. There's also a hook for this: noSambaProfilePath.py from components/ucsschool-hooks

Current description:

samba/profilepath: local
Specifies the directory where roaming profiles are stored. With '%U' the current username is expanded and used. Variable profile paths for different Windows versions can be defined with '%a'. If 'samba/profileserver' and 'samba/profilepath' are set to 'local', roaming profiles are deactivated.

samba/profileserver: local
The name of the server where Windows clients store their roaming profiles. If 'samba/profileserver' and 'samba/profilepath' are set to 'local', roaming profiles are deactivated.

should be still relevant for UCS 4.4
