Description Kevin Dominik Korte univentionstaff 2019-02-13 15:47:55 CET
For some reason, the univention-server has a dependency on univention-nfs. However, there is no feature within the packages, that would not work without an nfs server present or at least I do not see any. Thus It would be great for security-minded customers if the nfs server could be uninstalled.

Currently the nfs server can only be deactivated.

The dependency is introduced to have UMC settings for file shares working out of the box. To make this more convenient the NFS server component should be moved into a separate App.

Bug 45823 has a different approach. I am not sure if its a duplicate at all.

We should also think about if we expect that a considerable number of customers will use UCS to provide NFS-services.
