Description Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2019-02-26 11:34:24 CET
There are some flaws in the "schools" wizard that have been found via bug 48743 and should be addressed:

1)
> If you specify the master as the administrative server the creation in
> the wizards finishes without any error, but of course neither a role at the
> master is set/updated nor an administrative server is saved at the school
> object.

What you describe is the default behaviour of a singlemaster. But in a multiserver environment, it should not be possible to specify existing objects (see below).

2)
> If you specify a previously joined dc the computer objects role is
> updated, but it is not moved into the OU in the LDAP structure.

I think, it should not be possible, to specify existing objects at all. The user has to remove existing objects first, before the user is able to recreate them as UCS@school object.

3)
Please also spend a thought on how to create a missing administrative slave, if it has not been specified upon creation of the school OU.
