Description Christian Völker univentionstaff 2019-05-14 13:18:27 CEST
Customer installed it's domain with ".local".

Installing a school-slave he used ".de".

Join failed with "cannot find master".

It would be nice if the join would be able to verify the to-be-used nameserver is authoritative for the requested domain somehow.

Or say something like: "The non-authoritative DNS <IP> claims there is no entry for _master...."

Maybe univention-join could simply provide an option to adjust the local name of the unjoined system on the fly?
