In einer Kundenumgebung habe ich die Template-Abänderung entdeckt, in der /etc/univention/template/files/etc/ntp.conf:

-#/var/log/ntpd
+/var/log/ntpd

gesetzt wurde. Ich denke, dass ließe sich doch prima konfigurierbar machen.

Das ist generell keine gute Idee, da ansonsten das Logfile anderweitig rotiert werden muß, was dann einen Neustart des ntpd erfordert. Das sollte man tunlichts vermeiden und wurde vor ein paar Jahren in Debian deswegen auf syslog umgestellt <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=340781>.
