Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-01-11 10:42:33 CET
If the image update fails the user gets a root shell in the initrd. It would be better if only a message is shown, like "Contact your system administrator."

With an additional boot parameter it should be possible to start a shell.
Comment 1 Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-01-11 21:31:59 CET
By default a message will be shown if an error occurs. After adding debugshell=y to the boot options a shell will be started if an error occurs.
Comment 2 Felix Botner univentionstaff 2013-01-22 12:04:30 CET
OK, without debugshell=y an error message is shown and with debugshell=y a debug shell is started.
