Description Ingo Steuwer univentionstaff 2013-03-07 12:14:17 CET
A potential partner at Cebit reported this Bug. He's using "Chrome Enterprise" (I guess on windows). He can open the itemlist of a drop down, but he can not select an item using the mouse. This occures only if the first item in the drop down is empty, like on a computer object in the DNS/DHCP-assignement. Chosing the item by keyboard works fine.

I've seen this live on a customer system:

- Windows 7 with online updates
- Google Chrome with online updates (Version 26)
- UCS 3.1-0 with UCS@school for UCS 3.1

Any drop down in UMC is unusubale using the mouse. One can open the drop down by "click" but can't select a value by mouse. You need to close the drop down, set the focus on the text and use up/down/enter keys to select a value.

-> increase importance

So far, I could not reproduce the problem using a Win7 (64bit, with fresh installation + with latest updates) instance with up-to-date Chrome (version 26) and UCS 3.1-0 (erratum level 0) with UCS@school 3.1.

We updated in errata 62-65 the Dojo framework version to 1.8.3 (see also
Bug 30167, Comment 16), there were some fixes regarding combo boxes AFAIK. Maybe the problem is been fixed with the latest errata updates.

A similar problem seems to be reported in the Dojo ticket system:

> http://bugs.dojotoolkit.org/ticket/16821

The following URI has some test cases for combo boxes (nightly build of current development version for Dojo 1.9):

> http://archive.dojotoolkit.org/nightly/dojotoolkit/dijit/tests/form/_autoComplete.html?testWidget=dijit.form.ComboBox

The following test page is for version 1.8.3 (which we are currently using):

> http://download.dojotoolkit.org/release-1.8.3/dojo-release-1.8.3/dijit/tests/form/_autoComplete.html?testWidget=dijit.form.ComboBox

The problem occures with "rekonq" on kubuntu 12.04, too.
