Univention Bugzilla – Bug 31321
DRBD module version != userland version
Last modified: 2013-06-06 14:31:24 CEST
With the updating to UCS 3.1-1 the drbd module and tool versions differ. All drbd-tools are printing a warning message: DRBD module version: 8.3.11 userland version: 8.3.7 you should upgrade your drbd tools!
It looks like this leads to some unexpected split brain situations we had not seen before in our environment. We should get drbd8-utils from squeeze backports: <http://packages.debian.org/squeeze-backports/drbd8-utils>
Importes drbd8 8.3.11 from squeeze backports to errata3.1-1 and 3.2-0 errata3.1-1: drbd8-utils 2:8.3.11-3~bpo60+1.34.201306060929 3.2-0: drbd8-utils 2:8.3.11-3~bpo60+1.35.201306060937 Added 2013-06-06-drbd8.yaml and changelog entry for 3.2-0.
With the updated drbd tools the warning message is no longer displayed. The YAML file is ok and the changelog has been updated. For a package like drbd8 we would normally copy the debs and sources to ucs-3.2-0, but the rebuild in 3.2-0 works as well.
