Univention Bugzilla – Bug 33397
Boot of UEFI system failed
Last modified: 2014-11-26 06:54:10 CET
The installed UEFI system is unable to boot in some cases. It depends on the UEFI and hardware version. In almost all cases it is possible to boot the system from the local dvd 'boot from local harddisk'.
Moved to UCS 4.
The UCS4-DVD with d-i has already UEFI support. In my short test with an KVM environment, GRUB started from DVD but was unable to find the kernel and the initramfs on the DVD.
Within the grub.cfg on the DVD the variable "prefix" is faulty. The architecture is given twice in the path.
The bug is caused by using the old "Wheezy Installer" with a newer "Jessie GRUB2": <https://lists.debian.org/debian-cd/2014/07/msg00007.html> Reverted <http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=d-i/debian-installer.git;a=commitdiff;h=81109010691ee0fc9357bd10be8fe116b9bb9f84> r13586 | Bug #33397 d-i: Fix GRUB EFI path

EFI installation and boot works now.
