Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-11-14 22:42:14 CET
The installed UEFI system is unable to boot in some cases. It depends on the UEFI and hardware version. In almost all cases it is possible to boot the system from the local dvd 'boot from local harddisk'.
Comment 1 Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2014-06-17 13:30:20 CEST
Moved to UCS 4.
Comment 2 Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2014-08-26 10:36:47 CEST
The UCS4-DVD with d-i has already UEFI support. In my short test with an KVM environment, GRUB started from DVD but was unable to find the kernel and the initramfs on the DVD.
Comment 3 Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2014-09-08 09:43:12 CEST
Within the grub.cfg on the DVD the variable "prefix" is faulty. The architecture is given twice in the path.
Comment 4 Philipp Hahn univentionstaff 2014-09-18 10:26:30 CEST
The bug is caused by using the old "Wheezy Installer" with a newer "Jessie GRUB2": <https://lists.debian.org/debian-cd/2014/07/msg00007.html>

Reverted <http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=d-i/debian-installer.git;a=commitdiff;h=81109010691ee0fc9357bd10be8fe116b9bb9f84>
