Description Tim Petersen univentionstaff 2014-06-13 10:58:06 CEST
man smb.conf sais:
"
write list
This is a list of users that are given read-write access to a service. If the connecting user is in this list then they will be given write access, no matter what the read only option is set to. The list can include group names using the @group syntax.
"

This is not what you expect if you read the manual:
"
Only the users and groups listed here have write permission for the corresponding share.
"

This is no limitation! It's an extension.

Ok, so this option should maybe be combined with "read only".

This bug isn't limited to the documentation; we also need to change the UMC menu description which is misleading the user.
