Description Dirk Ahrnke 2014-10-17 16:29:11 CEST
The current DHCP-implementation does not allow to configure extended DHCP options like "client classing" to disable certain MAC-addresses. The workaround using local.conf has the drawback that subnets defined here are outside of the usual and preferred configuration methods in UCS.

This feature was requested in http://forum.univention.de/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3524

I have no clue about DHCP. Would this be fixed by Bug #32557 ?
Comment 2 Philipp Hahn univentionstaff 2016-10-11 17:29:48 CEST
With dhcpStatements you can insert arbitrary "dhcpd.conf" statements into the configuration. As this is stored inside LDAP, you no longer would need to modify the "local.conf" file per server.
See <http://forum.univention.de/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=5952&p=22224#p22224> for an example.
Comment 3 Philipp Hahn univentionstaff 2017-04-07 12:27:40 CEST
Arbitrary DHCP options and statements are now supported and are stored in LDAP.
