Description Nico Gulden univentionstaff 2017-03-31 10:24:53 CEST
The app provider portal should provide a possibility to download the app meta data. This would allow the app provider to track the metadata in some source code repository.

The download should be provided via the portal directly and via an API call with curl for automatization.

Very nice idea!

Download feature requested again by another app provider.

The download should provide two options:

* Just the meta data files like .ini file, README* files, LICENSE*, screenshots, logos, etc.
* Full download with meta data and the app software, e.g. packages and docker image

It will probably take some time to create the file for download. Idea: Make the download asynchroneous. This means, the user can request the download and receives a link via email where the content can be downloaded as tar.gz or zip file. The link is valid for 24 hours.

I've seen such behaviour at other services offering downloads for account data, e.g. Google or Facebook.
