Univention Bugzilla – Bug 45786
Installation with uvmm and samba4 => samba4 unusable
Last modified: 2020-07-03 20:53:24 CEST
Since errata4.2-2 samba uses <interfaces/primary> or eth0 and lo as "bind" interfaces. When installing uvmm the eth0 interface is "converted" to a bridge (dont know how to explain this) but interfaces/primary is not updated. With this setup samba no longer works.
We have jenkins tests with all-components (http://jenkins.knut.univention.de:8080/job/UCSschool%204.2/job/UCSschool%204.2%20Multiserver/SambaVersion=s4-all-components/). Why don't they reveal this?
(In reply to Florian Best from comment #1) > We have jenkins tests with all-components > (http://jenkins.knut.univention.de:8080/job/UCSschool%204.2/job/ > UCSschool%204.2%20Multiserver/SambaVersion=s4-all-components/). Why don't > they reveal this? but not with univention-virtual-machine-manager-node-kvm
the underlying scenario is used by a core edition user who also ran into this bug. A workaround is to set the samba listen interfaces to lo and br0. # ucr set interfaces/primary="lo br0"
Remove the workaround in install-testing/master-all-components.cfg after this is fixed.
