Univention Bugzilla – Bug 47612
Update is notified as available, but no update is shown on web page
Last modified: 2021-05-14 16:34:17 CEST
When logging on to the management portal an update notification is displayed. Going to the software update page shows no update available. Running univention-upgrade on the command line will show an update to a docker app, horde for example. You can update with the univention-upgrade script and it will update. This will take care of the portal notification. However, after running a new update, the horde app will show the previous version update as being available again. You can update again and it will appear to update, but running a UCS update will trigger the horde update to be available yet again. There is a forum thread regarding the issue (https://help.univention.com/t/ucs-4-3-software-update-update-notification/8387/10) and it seems there might be multiple docker apps affected by this. I only use horde and nextcloud at the moment and nextcloud seems to update normally with it's updates showing on the web page and updating only once when a new version is released. This issue appears like it was mentioned in bug 39916 as well back in 2015.
This issue also happened to a customer with 4.3-2 errata291.
This issue has been filed against UCS 4.3. UCS 4.3 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed. If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen it and update the UCS version. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
