When using the "Back to start site" option from the UMC menu the user is sent back to the start site correctly, but the last UMC module path is kept in the URL:

https://FQDN/univention/portal/#module=udm:users/user:0:

The next time the user accesses this link (eg. a pinned tab in the browser), the user is sent directly to the login page. 

I suggest that the option "Back to start site" brings the user back to "https://FQND/univention/portal".
