Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2019-08-08 14:03:26 CEST
The manual should point out that:

"Samba only supports the printer driver model version 3 that is supported in Windows 2000 to 10 and Windows Server 2000 to 2016." (source: Samba Wiki).

Printer drivers with "driver model" version 4 (aka "type v4") don't follow the classic "Point'n'Print" system of driver installation any more and also Samba doesn't support them currently.

Since v4 type drivers get increasingly popular with the hardware vendors, we should point Administrators into the right direction.
