Description Christian Völker univentionstaff 2019-09-13 08:49:14 CEST
On a customer site a Samba installation has issues with an external Samba/Ubuntu fileserver after upgrading from UCS 4.3-2 to 4.3-3. or 4.4-1.

Troubshooting is very difficult due to so many possible causes.

For testing customer installed a fresh UCS 4.4-1 joined the Ubuntu server and his clients and acces was working fine.

So there appears to be some configuration issue in his environment which is difficult to find. Customer was thinking of a complete reinstallation.

For faster troubleshooting it would be helpful to have a tool which would reset the samba-settings (ie UCR-varaibles) to default values.

So we do not need to do long troubleshooting and customer has a quick way to get default values in case he has misconfigured something.
