Description Christian Völker univentionstaff 2019-11-06 09:25:42 CET
After a AD Takeover from SBS2011 a customer configured DHCP-settings but did not get IP adresses.

DHCP service was not installed (doing with univention-install was fine)!

When offering possibility to configure dhcp policies and settings we should as well install the service automatically.
When dhcp service being enabled in previous AD we should install it as well during takeover.

Ok, we could install univention-dhcp, but we currently have no easy way to take over the configuration. The MS DHCP server doesn't seem to store the configuration data in AD, but instead apparently in some other JET database, and doesn't offer RPC access (only Powershell, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/dhcpserver/?view=win10-ps ).
