Für Bug 28390 und Bug 28822 wurde dsa mapping-template des S4 Connectors erweitert, damit man Locale-spezifische Benutzer/Gruppennamen auf die englischen UCS-Namen mappen kann. Die beiden Patches sollten nach UCS 3.1 übernommen werden.

Mir ist noch nicht ganz klar, wie die Variable gesetzt werden soll. Kannst du ein Beispiel hinzufügen und die UCR Variablenbeschreibung hinzufügen? Zusätzlich sollte vermutlich die alte Variablenbeschreibung connector/s4/mapping/group/language entfernt werden.

Ja, das funktioniert. Getestet mit univention-ad-takeover, dort werden die Variablen bei einem deutschen AD direkt gesetzt.
