Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2013-06-18 20:44:34 CEST
Windows client join fails if a second container CN=System exists somewhere in Samba4, see upstream bug report.

also true for
CN=Configuration
Comment 2 Florian Best univentionstaff 2017-01-05 15:14:34 CET
Similar to Bug #43280
Comment 3 Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2017-01-31 13:53:02 CET
I've adjusted the patch to Samba 4.6.0~rc2 and built the package with it.

A quick check of the source code didn't show any obvious location, where the behavior for CN=Configuration could be adjusted in a similar way, so that would need a separate treatment. Since there is no Ticket number for that and I've not seen that happen in a support case, I have no compelling reason to invest further research at this point.

Changelog adjusted.

OK, it fails with 4.1-4 and it works with 4.2.

Changelog: OK
