Fix available in Debian version 2:1.12.4-6+deb7u6 Upstream Debian package version 2:1.12.4-6+deb7u7 fixes: * In the X.Org X server before 2017-06-19, a user authenticated to an X Session could crash or execute code in the context of the X Server by exploiting a stack overflow in the endianness conversion of X Events. (CVE-2017-10971) * Uninitialized data in endianness conversion in the XEvent handling of the X.Org X Server before 2017-06-19 allowed authenticated malicious users to access potentially privileged data from the X server. (CVE-2017-10972) This issue has been filed against UCS 4.1. UCS 4.1 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed. If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen this issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you. |
