Remark: I have attempted this install aver 50 times and have been unable to complete it after so many fixes that have left me without beging able to locate the failed.ldif and be
able to do something about it.  the USC walkthrough with restarting slappd and numberous others have left me not finding or fixing the failed.ldif in my MAIN UCS AD please help
with SOMETHING

My solution for solving this bug is:
Check on the DC Master if the memberof-overlay is activated. If this is the case, we just add the overlay-packages to the list of software packages which are installed during system setup.

The memberof overlay package is now installed on DC Backup/Slave system before joining if it is enabled on the DC Master.
