IE is sending the username:password header latin-1 encoded. Before bug 34154 was resolved a login with umlauts from IE was rejected during login because the latin-1 encoding didn't match the utf-8 encoding.

Now squidGuard doesn't match the latin-1 encoded username:password header.


This should not be a problem with ntlmauth but I didn't tested it.

This issue has been filed against UCS@school 4.3 or earlier.

UCS 4.3 is out of maintenance and UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen this issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
