Wehn univention-join is executed on the command line the join scripts show now progress indicator; it would help if 03univention-directory-listener.inst would tell how many LDAP objects need to be replicated and how long that will take.

The default UDL debug level is not high enough to see any progress in listener.log either.
Currently one can only monitor /var/lib/univention-ldap/ldap/data.mdb and see its size increase.

This issue has been filed against UCS 4.2.

UCS 4.2 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen it and update the UCS version. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.

The still is no progress information and it a major pain when debugging join issues.
