time ist nicht mehr in der inetd.conf aktiv:

root@master:~# grep update-ine /var/lib/dpkg/info/univention-server-master.postinst
        update-inetd --debug --comment-chars '#' --enable time

Ist inetd.conf ist ab lenny wohl standardmäßig leer und openbsd-inetd fügt time/daytime Einträge in die Datei nur ein, wenn diese nicht schon existiert. Daher muss der Eintrag für time nun also erstmal mit "--add" angelegt werden, bevor er mit "--enable" freigeschaltet werden kann. In der postinst Skripten der univentiob-server-* Pakete wird also nun folgendes ausgeführt:

update-inetd --add "time            stream  tcp     nowait  root    internal"
update-inetd --debug --comment-chars '#' --enable time

Verified.
Auf aktuell installierten Systemen ist der Eintrag in der inetd.conf vorhanden.

master2332maintained:/root # netcat localhost 37 | hexdump
0000000 8cce 7615
0000004

8cce7615 entspricht zumindest mal einer 32-bit Zahl, wie im rfc 868 angegeben.

UCS 2.3 wurde veröffentlicht. Sollte der hier beschriebene Bug mit einer neueren Version von UCS erneut auftreten, so sollte der Bug dupliziert werden: "Clone This Bug".
