Es sollte geprüft werden, ob wir in der nächsten DVS Version auf freerdp wechseln.

Wenn es bei rdesktop bleibt, sollte dann in DVS 1.1 auf rdesktop 1.7 aktualisiert werden; das Problem mit den schwarzen Mauscursorn (Bug 17458) trat bei der DVS-Schulung ebenfalls auf. Das Paket aus ports-sid löste das Problem.

freerdp wurde im Rahmen von Bug #22471 als cool solution für UCS 2.4 gebaut, in den Tests ist es deutlich performanter/kompatibler als rdesktop.
