Mit samba 3.6.6 schlägt der join als normaler Benutzer mit SeMachineAccountPrivilege zur Zeit fehl:


root@master:~# net rpc rights grant -U Administrator%univention \
     bob SeMachineAccountPrivilege
root@master:~# net rpc join -U bob%univention
error setting trust account password: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Unable to join domain X86ERR300S3.

Das funktioniert weiterhin für Memberserver, sowohl für Windows Clients als auch für UCS Memberserver, d.h. für den Anwendungsfall (Bug 21291), für den der ucs-test 25domain-join-without-admin-rights (Bug 14849) geschrieben wurde. Nur für DCs funktioniert es nicht (mehr).

Ich kann ein Windows XP System normal als Benutzer joinen, wen ich das Flag SeMachineAccountPrivilege in UMC für diesen Benutzer setze.
