Description Roman Asendorf univentionstaff 2012-10-26 11:21:12 CEST
When sending virsh shutdown to a windows xp domain, the windows machine stays in "windows will power off" state till one opens the direct access.

You'll see the power off information from windows logon screen for a short moment and the machine shuts down as expected.

Compaired to other windows version: I have not seen this beviour with windows 7. Therefor one needed to set acpi powerbutton event in the energy saving settings.

Shutdown is not supported by UVMM, so not a bug of UVMM.
This is a Windows bug, so move it to documentation.
Comment 2 Nico Gulden univentionstaff 2021-12-01 16:46:28 CET
Microsoft Windows XP is out of maintenance for a very long time. Since the behavior has not been observed with Windows 7, I close this bug.
