Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-04-18 07:48:44 CEST
We should describe the installation in ESX, including the VMware drivers and tools, see Bug 30587 as example for Citrix XenServer.
Comment 1 Moritz Muehlenhoff univentionstaff 2013-10-17 14:47:15 CEST
I've tested the installation in ESXi and made some tests. All kernel provides all the necessary acceleration drivers.

The vmware tools are detected correctly by the Vsphere client as well (they allow synchronisation of the system time between virtualization host and guest)

Another potential stumbling block is mentioned as well: The "Other Linux" templates need to be used instead of Debian.

Documented in Section 2.16 in the installation chapter.
