Univention Bugzilla – Bug 31576
Syncrepl documentation in extended documentation
Last modified: 2016-06-22 10:25:31 CEST
http://sdb.univention.de/1120 should be translated into English since it's referenced from the manual.
The article requires some updates first, see Bug 31577
Not a release blocker but something for the post 3.2 release phase.
(In reply to Moritz Muehlenhoff from comment #1) > The article requires some updates first, see Bug 31577 Ah, yes. The article should be updated first. Maybe it should be better part of http://docs.univention.de/domain-3.2.html ?
I agree, we should migrate it to the extended documentation
A preliminary version exists in domain-3.2.xml (but commented out so far)

Created attachment 6504 [details] ucs4-syncrepl-proxy-setup.tar.bz2 Updated configuration: * UCS LDAP port adjusted to 7389, adjustable via ldap/replica/source/port * default UCS source host to localhost, adjustable via ldap/replica/source/host * provide UCR template to generate slapd.conf for remote system * include current set of schema files in slapd.conf for remote system Ideally one would like to have schema replication too, but we will need to experiment if this works and how to configure it. Currently e.g. the /var/lib/univention-ldap/local-schema/* files need to be copied over to the remote system manually when new schema extensions are added. The document has been updated accordingly.

One could use a UCS DC to participate from the schema replication. > The document has been updated accordingly. Can the bug be set to fixed?
