Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-10-09 09:26:11 CEST
Currently the installation on a dc slave or memberserver is not possible. The UDM modules are not available in UMC.

Comment 2 Florian Best univentionstaff 2015-09-02 17:59:30 CEST
We could strip down univention-management-console-module-udm to not include udm.xml.

udm.xml contains every UDM handler as UMC-flavor which makes it visible in UMC.

We could provide these flavors via another package e.g. univention-management-console-module-udm-common.
This would make it possible to have the SAML UDM handler installed on a slave without having all other UDM modules.

Sidenote: The UDM-UMC module currently establishes its connection to the DC master LDAP! → Bug #38789

The change would also be useful for other cases e.g. Bug #39274 would not need to be fixed as the problem exists only because one cannot influence caching of UMC sessions to other hosts.

This issue has been filed against UCS 3. UCS 3 is out of the normal maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in UCS 4.

If this issue is still valid, please change the version to a newer UCS version otherwise this issue will be automatically closed in the next weeks.

This issue has been filed against UCS 3.1.

UCS 3.1 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen this issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
