Univention Bugzilla – Bug 33282
After join: DC Backup does not work
Last modified: 2013-11-12 13:44:49 CET
I joined a "large environment" domain as a DC Backup. It took hours to join (heavy load on the VM host did not help) but now I cannot log in. Even root is not possible, the login dialog stays in standby forever. I did not restart the server after the join, it finished and then I got logged out due to inactivity. A relogin did not work.

From syslog: Nov 11 16:06:45 ucsmaster named[20879]: /etc/bind/named.conf.proxy:57: open: /etc/bind/univention.conf.proxy: permission denied Duplicate of Bug #33157?
Does it work after running the following commands: chmod 644 /etc/bind/univention.conf /etc/bind/univention.conf.proxy /etc/init.d/bind9 restart
Some UMC services had to be restarted, too. Maybe the whole /etc/bind/univention.conf.d/* needs this chmod. Anyway, now it works, DUPLICATE *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 33157 ***
