Description Felix Botner univentionstaff 2013-12-20 10:49:00 CET
Allowing to change the password of DC's (or all computer accounts?) via UMC is very dangerous, especially since there is no tooltip to inform about the consequences (updating machine.secret)

Better to remove that from the UMC. If one really wants to change the password, the udm interface should be sufficient.

I think we should add a warning. In some situations you need to set the password for example when you create a non-UCS memberserver.

Which password change functionality do you mean? The one from the UMC Server using PAM or the one via the users/user module in UMC? I think the latter one.
