Description Moritz Bunkus 2015-08-26 09:58:15 CEST
If I install the AD connector as a user who is a member of the »domain admins« group but who isn't the »administrator« user the service »Univention AD Connector« won't be registered and therefore it won't show up in the list of services.

If I log in as »administrator« (even the domain user with that name) the service registration succeeds.

This should either be fixed or the documentation should reflect this as it's common to have several domain admin users in AD environments, and they rarely if ever do work as the user »administrator«.

The documentation ( http://docs.univention.de/manual-4.0.html#ad-connector:password-dienst ) does not say anything about this at the moment.

We removed the password service on Windows side:
 http://errata.software-univention.de/ucs/4.1/173.html
 http://errata.software-univention.de/ucs/3.2/443.html

That makes this bug obsolete.
