Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2017-02-28 21:20:45 CET
Maybe we should provide an SDB article for this update error. I just had this from UCS 4.1-0 to UCS 4.1-1:

==========================================================================
root@master30:~# univention-upgrade --updateto=4.1-99 --ignoreterm --ignoressh

Starting univention-upgrade. Current UCS version is 4.0-5 errata436

Checking for local repository:                          none
Checking for release updates: found: UCS 4.1-0

Starting update to UCS version 4.1-0

HINT:
Please check the release notes carefully BEFORE updating to UCS 4.1-0:
 English version: https://docs.software-univention.de/release-notes-4.1-0-en.html
 German version:  https://docs.software-univention.de/release-notes-4.1-0-de.html

Please also consider documents of following release updates and
3rd party components.

Update will wait here for 60 seconds...
Press CTRL-c to abort or press ENTER to continue

Checking for space on /var/cache/apt/archives: OK
Checking for space on /boot: OK
Checking for space on /: OK

Starting update process, this may take a while.
Check /var/log/univention/updater.log for more information.
Running postup.sh script:done.
The connection to the repository server failed: Configuration error: host is unresolvable. Please check the repository configuration and the network connection.
==========================================================================

The updater.log shows that the update to UCS 4.1-0 bas basically sucessfull, but then it stops due to messages like these:

W: Fehlschlag beim Holen von https://updates.software-univention.de/4.1/maintained/4.1-1/all/Packages server certificate verification failed. CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt CRLfile: none

In my case this was caused by the system clock not being set to a recent enough date. I guess the SSL certificates have been rejected as not valid yet. Anyway, it's hard to see what's going on for a customer that runs into this during an update.

Running univention-upgrade again in this situation aborts directly with

W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://updates.software-univention.de/4.1/maintained/component/ 4.1-0-errata/all/ Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/updates.software-univention.de_4.1_maintained_component_4.1-0-errata_all_Packages)

in the updater.log

Changes and improvements for SDB entries aren't tracked in Bugzilla anymore, so I close these entries. Please comment on help.univention.com or get in touch with the Univention Support team in case you have any suggestions for the SDB.
