Univention Bugzilla – Bug 44520
Installation of UCS@school on Backup/Slave via Appcenter fails with strange message
Last modified: 2020-07-03 20:56:24 CEST
Created attachment 8818 [details] UCSschoolAppInstallationOnBackup.png I Installed the UCS@school App on a Master via Appcenter. Next I chose to install it also on a Backup (or Slave) in my domain. This fails with the strange message shown in the screenshot. The Appcenter should provide a better error message, or even better: guide the user to not run into this.
This happened in a freshly setup domain with UCS 4.1-4 errata410. management-console-module-appcenter.log shows: =============================================================================== 02.05.17 19:47:15.632 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Error sending app infos to the App Center server: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request 02.05.17 19:47:18.418 MODULE ( PROCESS ) : Try to install (install) ucsschool on backup71. Force? False. Only master packages? False. Prevent installation on other systems? None. Only dry run? True. 02.05.17 19:47:18.420 MODULE ( WARN ) : [Errno 111] Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt =============================================================================== I rebooted the backup and then it worked. Anyway, the message from the Appcenter is useless.
Isn't this a general UCS App Center error? The app center on the master replied with a HTTP400, the app center reports useless information to the user. My guess is, that this can be reproduced with any app - not just UCS@school.
Probably. Just the "message" part of that error message was lost on me. We should do better, whatever the specific cause was.
