Description Kevin Dominik Korte univentionstaff 2017-08-08 14:09:12 CEST
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #32889 +++

Currently the Objectclass Computer/linux is not synced into Samba 4. This creates the problem, that one cannot easily add krb5 principles to systems in this group. While not needed for login and user management, certain 3rd party software is only available for SLES and Redhat and designed to work with AD. A sync of these objects would therefore be helpful.

IMHO all sambaSamAccount objects should get synchronized.

This issue has been filed against UCS 4.2.

UCS 4.2 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen it and update the UCS version. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.

Still relevant to e.g. allow third party Linux based Samba servers to operate with Kerberos.

Relevant e.g. to avoid https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2014-June/182176.html
