Description Arvid Requate univentionstaff 2018-12-03 12:52:16 CET
There is a cool solution that shows how to restore LDAP objects from LDIF backup,
we should turn this into a product component:

There is also a SDB/KB article which describes the steps: https://help.univention.com/t/restore-a-ldap-object/6497

Saved my day today. I would love to have this as a regular tool in the product.

given that a "univention-ldap-backup" is running by default it would be - at least for me - a requirement to hand over a tool to restore objects from this backup which does not require complicated low-level LDAP-tools.

The port of univention-ldap-restore (cli tool univention-restore-ldap-object-from-backup) to UCS 5 is almost completed.

Porting to UCS5 is done.
